The comparatively mild winter weather brings an estimated average of as many as 800,000 “Winter Texans” during the months of October, November, December, January, February and March. These winter visitors often become permanent residents of The Rio Grande Valley after enjoying a few relaxing seasons here, spending time away from the colder climates and the unavoidable lifestyle that accompanies living with snow.
